The health of an individual is a fundamental human right. However, we also understand that this may be very difficult to apply in the real world. Hence, genuinely affordable health care supported by society in the next logical goal. It is also true that it is difficult for health care to become a trustworthy business.
Exposure of health care to market forces would only lead to more human suffering and drive us away from approaching it in a humanistic way. Opening health to market forces also has several imminent dangers we are already facing in the contemporary world. These include escalation of health costs, disinterest in exploring inexpensive options which may not be financially feasible, and a dichotomy of health care between the rich and poor. All of these create dangers to ultimately breaking down society's security fabric.
Thus, health should become a moral responsibility of all citizens. It becomes the responsibility of every individual and organization to contribute towards health care to make it ethical in practice, compassionate in approach, and scientific in its treatment.
SANMAN health care aims to create such a platform. The organization has decided to focus on health care in neurosciences and mental health to enhance its focus. These are the two most neglected verticals in today’s society in India particularly.
SANMAN health care is a non-profit charitable Trust aiming to create strong verticals in neurosciences and mental health. To do that, we believe that all three foundation cornerstones must be addressed. These include treatment, research, and education. All these three elements complete the ecosystem required to create a holistic health care platform. We believe in providing compassionate, evidence-based ethical treatment supported by translational research and education. Our objective is to collaborate for the same with centres of excellence in India and abroad and ultimately create our infrastructure to support our long-term goals.
